FITD: Reasons to Rejoice
Sneak peek into what you can expect to find in the book. We will all face difficult seasons in life the question is will we choose to be people who hold on to our joy and our peace? Reasons to rejoice is an interactive prompt you can find in the book that will help you navigate your season in a way that keeps your eyes focused on God and his goodness. I had to learn to reframe my thoughts and choose joy. Will you do the same? Festival in the Desert is out now on westbowpress.com and will be available in other places shortly! Thank you all for your support, for those who have already purchased the book, and for those being willing to step out on this journey with me. I pray that God would meet you in your desert season and you would find hope in the pages of this book.
Does God Cause Suffering?
In the desert seasons of life, we will be faced with moments of deep sorrow. We will experience things in life that leave us feeling broken and confused. We may even be tempted to curse God, wondering if He is the one responsible for our suffering and pain. I don't know everything and will never claim to. But, what I do know is that God is good and is also not the creator of suffering. Rather, He is the redeemer of it. We can look to His word for evidence of His goodness and know that His heart has always been for us to walk intimately with Him and experience abundant life. So if He doesn't cause it, why is there suffering? I've learned a little about why we experience it. To hear more check out this latest video. May it encourage you. Also, be reminded that Jesus knew suffering as well and He died so that we might have life. His suffering and pain were severe that He would be able to sympathize with ours. See Isaiah 53:3.
Loneliness in the Desert Season
In the desert seasons of life, we will be faced with moments of loneliness. Been there! I have had to learn that the feeling of loneliness is often just that, a feeling. God promises to never leave us or forsake us and promises His nearness. We can turn loneliness into an opportunity to encounter God's love and presence.
